How do I care for my products?
Cotton cushions: Spot clean with a damp, slightly soapy cloth. Do not machine wash. Hand wash only. Dry clean if needed by accredited dry cleaner. Ok to iron on a low heat. Do not tumble dry.
Cactus silk cushions: Spot clean with a damp, slightly soapy cloth. Do not submerge in water. Do not machine wash. Dry clean if needed by accredited dry cleaner. Ok to iron on a low heat. Can be hung on a clothes line to air out but please avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
Please note: There are imperfections from the hand-dying process (small blotches, bleeding, etc). This adds to the character and charm of the pillow cover. Because the material is hand-dyed, each pillow is different. The pattern may vary slightly for your pillow.
Boucle cushions: Cold gentle machine wash or hand wash. Dry flat, do not tumble dry, do not iron.
Moroccan rugs: Spot clean with a soapy, slightly damp cloth. Do not machine wash. Please note that some of our vintage rugs can shed natural fibres due to their age, we recommend that they are vacuumed occasionally and are taken outside for a good shake to reduce this. Can be sprinkled with bi-carb soda to refresh. Dry clean by an accredited Moroccan rug or vintage rug cleaner.
What size insert is best for my cushion cover?
For a lush and inviting look, we suggest sizing up your cushion inserts to ensure a full and plump appearance (excluding lumbar cushions). As a general guideline, pair a 50cm x 50cm cover with a 55cm x 55cm insert. Please see additional details below to ensure the perfect fit:
50 x 30cm cushion = 50 x 30cm polyester insert
50 x 35cm cushion = 50 x 35cm feather insert
45 x 45cm cushion = 50 x 50cm feather insert or 50 x 50cm polyester insert
50 x 50cm cushion = 55 x 55cm feather insert
60 x 40cm cushion = 60 x 40cm feather insert
